Dear APRU Colleagues,
As you know, the research symposium on “The Interface between Molecular Biology and Nano-Biology” will be hosted by Kyoto University from November 24 to 26, 2010.
This research symposium is one of the newest initiatives launched under the auspices of APRU and aims to promote research exchange and collaboration on the interdisciplinary linkage between molecular biology and nano-biology, including the application of nano-biology in regenerative medicine and engineering.
The symposium will comprise 6 scientific sessions which cover various aspects of molecular biology and nano-biology, including, but not limited to the following:
- Frontier of signal transduction;
- Mechanisms of adaptive responses to environment in photosynthetic organisms;
- Nano-imaging and nano-measurement;
- Meso-space control of cellular dynamics during development;
- Meso-scale membrane domains: single-molecule studies; and
- Cell senescence.
We are also pleased to announce that the deadline for the submission of abstracts has been extended to October 15, 2010 while registration will close on October 31, 2010. We therefore encourage your faculty and students to sign up by these dates.
Registration fees for the symposium are ¥10,000 (approx. US$118)* for faculty and research staff (including postdoctoral fellows, research associates/assistants) and ¥7,000 (approx US$ 82)* for research students (including interns, postgraduate students).
